Discover the transformative power of nature with The Creative Woodland & Wellbeing Project, an innovative community initiative brought to you by VC Gallery in partnership with Silbers CIC and The National Park. Every Friday from 12-3pm, we invite you to join us at "Mount Woods" in Milford Haven for an afternoon of nature-based activities, woodland management, and community building.
This project aims to revitalise Castle Pill Woods, transforming it into a shared space for everyone to enjoy. Our weekly workshops offer a diverse range of activities suitable for all ages and abilities. Whether you're interested in environmental conservation, creative outdoor projects, or simply enjoying the therapeutic benefits of nature, there's something for everyone.
Recent successes include clearing the Mount Woods River of rubbish and repurposing rescued wooden logs into a new seating area. These efforts not only improve the local environment but also create welcoming spaces for the community to gather and appreciate nature.
The Creative Woodland & Wellbeing Project is more than just a cleanup initiative. It's a chance to connect with your community, learn new skills, and contribute to the sustainable development of your local area. From woodland management techniques to creative upcycling projects, participants have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience.
This initiative is proudly supported by Pembrokeshire County Council through the Levelling Up Shared Prosperity Fund and the Sustainable Communities Grant. Your participation helps to ensure the success of these funding initiatives and contributes to the long-term wellbeing of our community.
No prior experience is necessary to join – just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to engage with nature and your community. All tools and guidance will be provided on-site.
To get involved or learn more about the project, please message VC Gallery on social media platforms. Your participation, no matter how big or small, makes a significant difference in creating a more sustainable and connected community.
