After six consecutive wins across all competitions, Clarbeston Road had suffered back-to-back defeats against quality opposition, losing 0-4 to Goodwick United in the league before losing in heartbreaking fashion to Evans & Williams FC in the West Wales Cup despite an impressive performance.
Carew went into the game in mixed form with a short while without a league win but with good cup victories including a 6-2 win over Pennar Robins in the West Wales Cup.
With victory guaranteeing a top four place at Christmas, the visitors got off to a dream start with Ben John setting up Laurie Haworth in the sixth minute.
Carew equalised in the 25th minute through Marcus Griffiths before Jake Booth restored Clarbeston Road's lead just four minutes later.
Ben John doubled the lead for the visitors in the 61st minute, before adding another in the 76th minute to make it 4-1.
Carew rallied to attempt a late comeback with quickfire goals between Iwan Izzard and Marcus Griffiths giving them hope of getting something from the game.
Clarbeston Road held out for the victory, finishing the year with six wins out of ten in the league.
