Having undergone refurbishment in 2021 following the pandemic, the County Hotel has successfully reestablished itself as a popular place to be for people of all ages with a little bit of something for everyone. We sat down with manager Katie to talk about what’s going on and the plans the team have for the year ahead.
On the corner of Salutation Square, Haverfordwest, the hotel is unmissable as you enter town from Haverfordwest Train Station. Like many businesses, the County Hotel team took the pandemic period as an opportunity to relaunch and focus on different areas once they reopened.
As a Haverfordwest town regular I have enjoyed the various music events that they have hosted this year already and was delighted to hear that there were plans for these to continue with superb regulars such as Chris Didcote and Ryan Bristow, and grow with potential karaoke or open mic nights being hosted.
They have also recently employed an excellent chef who has been attracting rave reviews, with the County’s Sunday Lunches getting increasingly popular week after week. As well as being delicious, the meals are also excellent value with some incredible family options. Unlike the short window offered by many restaurants, their Sunday Lunches are served between 12 and 8, making them a flexible family option for you.
For this February half-term the County have got an offer on where kids can eat for just £1 with every adult main meal purchased (excluding drinks and desserts). Outside the bar, I could see banners advertising the various themed days/nights such as steak night with great deals to be had throughout the week.
As well as their delicious array of alcoholic drinks on offer such as their draught Poretti, they also serve incredible coffee for just £1 from Monday to Thursday for anyone looking for somewhere to relax and stop by in the week.
As well as their bar and lounge, the County’s majestic building has excellent facilities and is perfect for your function. Their meeting and events room have all the conveniences required to make your event a success with excellent modern facilities, a large LED TV, free wifi, onsite parking and excellent room hire deals.
