In my search for a delicious Sunday Roast I decided to visit The Rising Sun following high praise I had been hearing regarding its food, with one review from Yan Koob on Facebook standing out in particular:

"If you've not tried the Sunday lunch here do it.. it's probably the best I've had in Pembrokeshire, would also recommend their evening menu. Delicious food, family friendly atmosphere and lovely service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"

To kick off the meal, the tomato and red pepper soup paired with a freshly baked onion loaf set the standards high with simple ingredients treated with care. The soup was flavourful and comforting, with a perfect blend of tanginess from the tomatoes and the rich sweetness of red peppers. The onion loaf was delightful, lovely and warm.

Moving on to the most important element, the roast itself, which was absolutely sublime. The parsnip and carrots, which I normally find forgetful, were amazing and perfectly cooked. What truly stood out was the attention given to each ingredient. Every element on the roast was full of flavour, showcasing the chef's dedication to quality and taste.

The highlight of the roast was undoubtedly the generous portion of meat. Each bite was succulent and packed with the plenty of flavours that you would hope for from a Sunday Roast.

The atmosphere at The Rising Sun added to the experience. The place was absolutely packed, presumably full of regulars who know how delicious the food is.

The Rising Sun delivered a Sunday Roast Dinner that surpassed my high expectations. From the inviting starter to the hearty roast with an abundance of meat, every part of the meal showcased the chef's skill and dedication.
