Pembroke Borough moved out of the relegation places in Manderwood Pembrokeshire Division Three with an important victory over fifth place St Florence.

Boro were bolstered by the return of Jake Campbell after a five game ban and the recent resigning of Luke Hendry who had scored three goals in his first two games back at the club.

However they endured a slow start with the visitors St Florence taking a two goal lead thanks to early goals from Ashley Smith and Jake Allen.

Jordan Wright pulled a goal back for Boro in the 27th minute before Ashley Smith scored again to restore his sides two goal advantage going into the break.

Jordan Wright once again halved the deficit, scoring from the penalty spot at the start of the second half to make it 2-3.

Jake Campbell equalised for Boro in the 62nd minute, inspiring a flurry of goals with Connor Rees scoring just four minutes later, with Rees then setting up Luke Hendry to make it 5-3 after 67 minutes.

The win sees Boro climb to 10th place, leapfrogging Kilgetty 2nds who suffered a narrow defeat against Haverfordwest Cricket Club.
