Milford Athletic's run of six games undefeated was brought to an end in heartbreaking fashion, with Captain Neil Mathias scoring a late winner for visitors Milford United 2nds.

United had taken an early lead in the 15th minute through Samuel Edwards, who was set up by Curtis Davies, with the Robins taking a 1-0 lead into the half-time interval.

Ath responded strongly in the second half, with Captain Dave Hawkins scoring an equaliser from the penalty spot, making it the seventh consecutive game he had scored in.

Hawkins then put his team in front in the 71st minute, his ninth in seven games, with an assist for Thomas Jones.

United quickly hit back though, with another goal for Samuel Edwards who was this time set up by Ieaun Hawkins who has recently resigned from St Ishmaels but was unable to play for the firsts as they were in cup action.

With the game level at 2-2 and both sides desperate for all three points in their fight to survive in Division Four, it was Milford United 2nds who struck a late winner through their Captain Neil Mathias who was set up by substitute Mathew Thomas.

The result sees Milford United 2nds leapfrog Milford Athletic into 10th place, one point above them in the relegation spaces.
