Media Showcase: Our Exceptional Culinary Experience at Heywood Spa Hotel's Marigold Restaurant

Heywood Spa Hotel's Marigold Restaurant continues to establish itself as a premier dining destination, offering guests an extraordinary culinary journey under the skilled direction of Chef John Thampi.

During a recent visit, we were treated to an impressive showcase of Chef Thampi's culinary artistry, featuring a carefully curated selection of dishes that demonstrated both technical excellence and creative innovation.

As well as getting to tuck in to the delightful array of dishes, it was a pleasure to watch Chef Thampi work and learn more about the creative processes that guide his creations.

Standout Dishes

Among the incredible dishes was the expertly prepared Pork Belly served alongside perfectly stir-fried noodles, showcasing the kitchen's mastery of both Asian techniques and local ingredients. The Chicken Bamboo Biryani proved particularly memorable, not only for its aromatic complexity but for its striking presentation method out of a bamboo tube.

The Duck Breast Wellness Salad offered a lighter yet equally satisfying option, with the Pork and Apple Bao Buns demonstrating the restaurant's skillful fusion of traditional Asian flavors with contemporary touches. A refreshing Feta and Watermelon Salad provided a perfect palate cleanser, balancing sweet and savory elements with remarkable finesse - a perfect meal following a morning spent on site in the luxurious spa facilities.

The meal concluded with an indulgent Pistachio and Ricotta Cheesecake, elevated by the accompaniment of house-made Mango and Passionfruit Ice Cream, unique and rich in flavour.

Great Service and Beautiful Setting

Our dining experience was enhanced by the warm and professional service provided by staff members Isara and Anish Panicker, along with Deputy Hotel Manager Sean, whose attentive hospitality has become a hallmark of the Heywood Spa Hotel experience.

The Marigold Restaurant's stunning interior design creates an atmosphere that perfectly complements the culinary offerings, with thoughtfully curated decor that enhances the overall dining experience.

Chef John Thampi's dedication to his craft is evident in every aspect of the dining experience, from the innovative flavor combinations to the meticulous presentation of each dish.

What stands out from our visit is the unique dishes that you won't find cooked or presented anywhere else in Pembrokeshire. With our county's growing and thriving food scene, it's refreshing to still find yourself pleasently surprised by something you haven't tried before and that's certainly how we felt when dining at the Marigold Restaurant.
