Hook "Fete on the Field" 2025: Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day

Hook Community Forum are proud to present this year's 'Fete on the Field' 2025 at Hook Sports & Social Club, Newtown Road, Hook, Haverfordwest, SA62 4ND commencing at 12.00 noon on Sunday the 4th May.

The event commemorates the 80th Anniversary of VE Day and fancy dress for the period is welcome. Everyone has a connection to those who served during the Second World War, either through their family or community heritage. Hook Village will thank surviving veterans and pay tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives, without whom the way of life we enjoy today would not have been possible. There will be live music including, Haverfordwest Male Voice Choir, Loose Fit, Slack, The Beys and Claire Warman. A visit from our Emergency Services (Police, Fire, St John's Ambulance).

Entertainment for a small charge with Bouncy Castles and Inflatable Fun, Chantelle Darts, MK Amusement Fair Ground Rides and Pembrokeshire Attractions. Displays from the Black Tar Morris Dancers, Castle Brass, Air Cooled Pembrokeshire (VW owners group), Pembrokeshire Classic Cars, Hook Art Club, Hook Cricket Club, Hook Short Mat Bowls Club, Llangwm Mini Rugby and the day compered by a local celebrity.

Stalls selling their wares include Little Bee House, Kilner Kreations, Hannah Blything Face Painting, Old Fashioned Sweets, Enchanted Gifts, Noisy Little Gift Company, Ella Dee Crafts, Emma Louise, Harry's Junk Shop, Ruthie Ashworth, Friends of Hook School and Car Boots.

Competition time with a Raffle, Treasure Hunt, Guess the Sweet Jar, Coconut Shy, Tug of War, prizes for best dressed fancy dress and food outlets are supplied by The Bearded Chefs.
