Camrose seal promotion to Division Two

Camrose sealed promotion to Division Two with a 4-0 away victory over Clarbeston Road 2nds, with Hakin and St Florence also picking up victories.

Only three games of football took place in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire League this evening, with the two fixtures of key importance involving Camrose and Lawrenny who have been fighting it out for the 2nd promotion spot from Division Three.

Clarbeston Road 0-4 Camrose (Division Two)

Camrose travelled to Clarbeston Road 2nds knowing that a point would be enough to secure a league promotion and Cup double, having beaten Lawrenny to lift the Division Three Cup.

Jordan Raymond opened the scoring for Camrose, tapping in from a rebound after Joe Haworth's shot.

In the second half, substitute Martyn Tweedie scored twice including a goal where he showed great composure to round the Clarby goalkeeper.

Finnlay Thompson finished the scoring to round off the victory.

St Florence 4-2 Lawrenny (Division Two)

Elsewhere Lawrenny surrendered a two-goal lead away to St Florence, losing 2-4.

Jordan Gorman and Matthew Kidney had scored to put Lawrenny two goals up within only 7 minutes.

Ashley Smith and Jake Allen scored to bring St Florence level at half time.

Ashley Smith scored another in the second half, with Jake Allen also sealing a brace with a late penalty.

Hakin 4-0 Carew (Division One)

A young Hakin side comfortably defeated Carew in a rematch of their West Wales Cup semi-final encounter.

A Shane Walsh double gave the Vikings an early lead in the first half before Adam John made it three going into the break.

16 years old Scott Paddison scored a penalty late in the second half to cap off the victory for his side.
