Solva star Jess Charles has been selected to represent Great Britain in the Women's Open Tag Rugby Team at the World Cup in August in Ireland.
The team recently completed a 3-0 win at the British & Irish Cup on Saturday 24th June, with Jess scoring two tries in the final game.
Team GB are a passionate and dedicated tag-rugby team who have been training for 3 years to get ready for the Tag-Rugby World Cup being held in Limerick, Ireland from the 1st - 5th of August 2023.
The World Cup is an international stage where we will face the likes of Australia, Hong Kong, Italy, Ireland and several other countries in pursuit to be named the world champions.
As amateurs the financial burden on players can be heavy in funding their performance, with emphasis on how much performance can be improved when the cost barrier is reduced.
If you wish to support Jess you can contribute to her GoFundMe page. Funds raised will be used to cover transport and accommodation at the World Cup as they have already funded training and kit expenses. Any help, no matter the size will make a huge difference!
