A frustrating afternoon for Camrose saw them exit the West Wales Cup after losing 2-3 to Swansea based side FC Bonymaen.

Camrose went in to the game hoping for another cup victory following a 3-2 win over Letterston in the Senior Cup last weekend. They had previously defeated Cimla FC 4-1.

The visitors went into the game in great form with six wins in a row in League and Cup competition, also winning 4-1 in the previous round, over Bwlch Rangers.

Camrose got off to a dream start when Scott Chalmers put them in front thanks to an assist from Joe Haworth.

Haworth was then forced off with an injury with Rhodri Howell replacing him.

Howell made an immediate impact, placing an excellent ball through to Jordan Raymond to double the host's lead.

Ben Dennis pulled a goal back for Bonymaen just three minutes later.

Then in the 21st minute, Camrose goalkeeper Charlie Hughes brought down a Bonymaen forward inside the box to concede a penalty, which Dean Green stood up to dispatch.

The two goalscorers then combined in the 55th minute, with Dennis setting up Green to score the winner for the visitors.
