Clarbeston Road defeated Swansea based side Penclawdd to advance to the next round of the West Wales Cup thanks to a brace from Jake Booth and goals from Travis Jones and Laurie Haworth.

Clarbeston Road had come through the previous round with a 2-0 win away over Clase Social and would have had plenty of confidence after a five game winning run in all competitions including a fantastic Senior Cup victory over Hakin United.

Laurie Haworth opened the scoring for the hosts with a goal just four minutes in.

Travis Jones then doubled his side's lead, hitting home a longe ranged effort after Haworth's free-kick was blocked by the Penclawdd wall.

Jake Booth then made it three on the 22nd minute mark after being set up by Ben John.

Penclawdd pulled one back through Ashley John to make the score 3-1 at half-time.

A goal from substitute Andrew Burt for the visitors in the 61st minute reduced Clarby's lead to just one goal before Jake Booth scored again, once again being set up by forward Ben John, to secure the 4-2 victory for the Pembrokeshire side.
