Milford Athletic recorded their first win of the season, coming out on top in a ten goal thriller away versus Prendergast Villa.

Athletic took an early lead thanks to a goal from Macauley Chapman in the 9th minute but soon found themselves behind after an own goal from Ashden King and a goal from Villa forward Joe John.

Athletic soon equalised with David Hawkins converting from the penalty spot, with Hawkins then giving his side the lead with a free-kick.

Robert Lloyd then doubled the lead to make it 4-2 going into the break.

The second-half starter quietly before Villa halved the deficit thanks to a goal from Jamie-Lee Bartlett, but Macauley Chapman soon scored again for the visitors to restore their two-goal cushion and make it 5-3.

Joe John converted a penalty for the hosts in the 87th minute to give his side hope of salvaging a late point, but just a minute later Macauley Chapman sealed his hat-trick and the three points for the away side.
