Tenby United rounded off a perfect season at home with yet another win this time over Pembrokeshire rivals, Fishguard. It was a close game but in the end the Seasiders had enough quality and character to get them over the line.
The hosts had the advanatage of the strong wind in the first half and made good use of it, Gwion Jones and Luke Hartland both crossing the whitewash for Tenby, Lloyd Thomas also added a conversion and a penalty to give the hosts a 15 point lead at the oranges. It was a vital win for Tenby's promotion push too as they battle to finish in the promotion places. St Clears are now home and dry at the top of the league but the Seasiders still have Lampeter hot on their heels.
Tenby are on the road for their three remaining games as they travel to Pontyberem, Carmarthen Athletic and Milford Haven. None of which will be easy games, however with the end in sight they'll be more focused and determined than ever to do whatever it takes to get the job done. There won't be much time to reflect on the brilliant achievement of being unbeaten at home all season, at least not until the season is done. Best of luck to everyone involved in the club for the next three games.
