Johnston 2nds took a huge step towards promotion from Manderwood Pembrokeshire Division Five with a 4-1 victory over Narberth 2nds.

The Tigers knew a result would take them in to the top two, with no team below them capable of finishing on more points.

There was a chaotic start to the game with both teams creating chances and the hosts took the lead when Robbie Corner's cross found Alfie Crawford to fire home.

Narberth soon hit back with an equaliser through Ryan Williams after good work down the right hand side before the ball was drilled in low for Williams to score.

The Tigers then retook the lead through James Rees who got on the end of Joe Jones ball over the top of the defence.

The duo combined again for a similar goal with another ball from Joe Jones finding James Rees in behind the defence to cooly finish past the Narberth keeper.

In a more controlled second half, Johnston finally got a fourth goal to complete the scoring when substitute Josh Knapp showed good control to bring down a long ball before laying off James Rees to score and complete his hat-trick, bringing him to 20 league goals for the season.

Johnston now sit on 49 points with only one game remaining, but must wait to see if promotion is confirmed dependant on remaining fixtures.
