Johnston 2nds picked up their first victory of the season with a dramatic late victory over Milford Athletic in Pembrokeshire Division Four.

The Tigers had lost on their opening fixture away 1-3 to Angle, whereas their opponents Milford Athletic picked up a 6-4 victory over Carew 3rds.

The scoreline was 0-0 at half-time after a closely contested first half with both teams battling hard.

Ath took the lead in the 51st minute when Hayden Dimond was brought down in the box, with Captain Dave Hawkins stepping up to fire home from the spot.

Matters soon got worse for Johnston when minutes later they were reduced to ten men, with Jake Campbell seeing red after an altercation with an Ath player.

Despite playing with a man less, Johnston pushed on for an equaliser with a trio of attacking substitutions to attempt to salvage something from the game.

They were dealt a setback however when they were temporarily reduced to nine men, with Marcus Allen sent to the sin bin in the 70th minute.

Marcus' fortune soon changed, scoring minutes after coming back onto the field after a fantastic delivery from Billy Davies from a corner.

Not content with a point, the Tigers pushed on again with a series of corners, before Billy Davies' looping ball found its way in over the helpless 'keeper after receiving the ball from Logan Scutt.
