Hook Sports and Social Club recently played host to an electrifying darts exhibition featuring PDC star Joe "The Rockstar" Cullen. The event, originally set to feature Nathan Aspinall, saw Cullen step in due to Aspinall's injury – and what a spectacular substitute he proved to be.

The night was a roaring success, with a packed house enjoying top-class darts action and plenty of laughs. PDC referee Huw Ware was on hand to officiate, charming the audience with his wit and professionalism from the get-go.

Community spirit was at the heart of the event, with local businesses and individuals coming together to make it happen. The event was the result of the fantastic organisation of local pub sports enthusiast Lee Chenery (LCD Events) who extended his special thanks to the club committee, Callum James, Aled Phelps, and Mark Murrison for their tireless efforts in helping organise the night.

The exhibition wasn't just about the darts – it was also an opportunity to give back to the community. A cheque for £450 will be presented to the VC Gallery, while £200 was donated to support Ieuan Hood's upcoming Commonwealth Games adventure in South Africa. In a touching gesture, Joe Cullen agreed to match the £200 donation for Ieuan's cause.

On the oche, there were plenty of memorable moments. Seven-year-old Harry John impressed with scores of 100 and 120, showing promise for the future. Floyd "The Hammer" Bevan put up a strong fight with two tons and a 125, while young star Iestyn Devonald achieved the distinction of being the only player to defeat Cullen on the night, boasting a 20.04 average.

Other standout performances included Gavin James with the highest average of 28, and Declan Coles, who had the crowd on their feet with his walk-on music. Cullen himself showcased his world-class talent with a blistering 15-dart leg of 601.

As the dust settles on a fantastic night, thoughts are already turning to next year's event. Pembrokeshire dart fans will be hoping Nathan Aspinall will be able to feature next year, with a date to be announced soon. Huw Ware is also set to return, much to the delight of those in attendance.

Organiser Lee Chenery expressed his heartfelt thanks to everyone involved, from the helpers behind the scenes to the enthusiastic crowd who sang their hearts out and laughed along with the evening's entertainment. It was a night that truly embodied the spirit of community and the love of darts in our county.
