Pennar Robins 2nds took a big step towards securing survival in Pembrokeshire Division Three with an impressive victory over 2nd place Goodwick United 2nds.

The visitors were looking to get back to winning ways after three consecutive narrow losses and were able to field a strong team at Phoenix Park.

Goodwick United 2nds would have also been full of confidence with five consecutive wins as they aim to get promoted in what looks set to be an exciting battle for second spot.

The hosts took the lead in the 18th minute through Joshua Wellan who was set up by Tyler Morris.

Pennar Robins grabbed an equaliser through Phil John in the 41st minute, his 16th of the season, with an assist from youngster Bobby Jones.

Jones then got on the scoresheet himself, putting Pennar Robins in front in the 70th minutes after being set up by Adam Phillips.

Phillips then made sure of the win with a goal in the 77th minute with an assist for Ross Vincent.
