Johnston progressed to the next round of the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Senior Cup with a 5-2 victory over Pembroke Borough thanks to a brace from Josh Knapp and goals from Joey George, Craig Bendall and Alfie Crawford.

It was a slow start for the Tigers who fell behind to a Luke Hendry goal with a Stuart Slater assist.

Johnston equalised seven minutes later after good work from Kieran Blundell on the right hand side, who whipped in a fantastic low cross for Josh Knapp to flick past the goalkeeper.

Just two minutes later Craig Bendall gave his side the lead when Johnston were awarded an indirect free-kick after a Pembroke Borough back pass. Kieran Walker laid off the free-kick for Bendall to fire home a low driven shot through the Pembroke Borough wall.

Captain Joey George then made it three when Craig Bendall played a lovely through ball over the top, for George to fire over the onrushing Boro goalkeeper to make it 3-1 at half time.

Kieran Walker then grabbed another assist, playing a similar through ball over the top of the Boro defence which Josh Knapp knocked past the goalkeeper to tap home in to an empty net.

Jordan Wright then pulled one back for Pembroke Borough with a fantastic longe range effort making it 4-2.

Johnston then completed the scoring with two substitutes combining, with Tom Richards setting up Alfie Crawford.
