A game with speculation it would be called off due to poor conditions. Sixth place in the league facing up against eleventh. A rare sight in the fifth division as a official referee was appointed to this game due to recent incidents involving Milford Athletic.
The game started and it didn’t take long for St Clears to open the scoring as Joseph Court would take a touch past the defender and rifle it into the net. After that it became a back and forth game as Milford Athletic came into the game with some good crosses by Rhys Higgins and a few brilliant passes by Gareth Quirk. Their hopes were quickly dispatched by goals from Leon Steele and a double from Scott Page would make it 4-0 to the favourites. There was a controversial moment near halftime as Ieuan Brown was brought down inside the box but referee Paul Rooney did not give a penalty, much to the annoyance of the Milford Athletic fans.
The start of the first half was a battle as both team were battling for the next goal. A lot of good chances for St Clears went wide and you could sense their frustration as more and more fouls were happening in the game. The next goal however would fall to St Clears in the form of a Andrew Raistrick goal after a good save from Ashley Busby. St Clears would keep their dominance throughout the rest of the game and in the 58th Minute Thomas McCabe killed the game off to make it 6-0 and a win for St Clears.
