Darren Latham of Haverfordwest Bowling Club won the Pembrokeshire County Bowling Association Singles Championship Cup for 2024 with a 21-11 victory over previous triple champion Paul Diment of Tenby Bowling Club, who won in 2014, 2021, and 2002. Latham is the first Haverfordwest Club bowler to win the Singles Championship Cup since Craig Jones in 2011. He was presented with the cup by current County President Alun Wills, who plays alongside Latham for Haverfordwest, currently second in the County Division 1 table.

To reach the final, Latham defeated renowned Pembrokeshire bowlers Dion Peregrine in the semi-final, Cameron White in the quarter-final, and John Roberts in the round of 16, all from Tenby Bowling Club. In his opening game, he overcame Raymond Lilly Crop of Milford Haven before defeating Simon Evans of Tenby to set up the match against former triple champion Roberts, whom he beat 21-15.

Latham now proudly takes the Haverfordwest Club and Pembroke County Bowls Association name forward to the Welsh finals next month in Llandod.
