Pembroke Dock 152 all out  beat Llanrhian 93 all out

Pembroke Dock secured a vital win which was worth 18 points as they beat fellow strugglers Llanrhian. The Dock were first to bat on what is a lovely ground to bat on and having been bowled out for 152 they will have feared this was below bar. Hosts batsman Jake Davies led the way with 40 and was well backed up by George Smith who made 38. Youngster Adam Phillips and the experienced Nick Daley made important contributions of 22 and 18 respectively. Rhodri Owen 4-9 and Joe Crellin 3-22 enjoyed plenty of success for the visitors with the ball in hand and at the interval they would have been confident of chasing 152.

However Pembroke Dock put in a brilliant effort in the field led by Rhys Daley who bowled brilliantly for his 4-13 as did Euan McDonald who ended with figures of 3-28. Slow bowlers Griffiths and Smith picked up three wickets between them as Llanrhian were 93 all out. Joe Crellin top scored with 32 to add to his good spell with ball in hand, whilst the dangerous Jack Jones was dismissed for 18.

The result has changed the way the bottom of the second division looks Llanrhian now sit bottom with 57 points, while the Dock move out of the drop zone and have 64 points from eight games.
