It was another thrilling day of cricket in this super competitive second division which saw Burton remain top while Johnston had a important win over Lamphey moving them into fourth place after a solid start to the season. At the bottom of the league Llanrhian and Pembroke Dock weren't helped by the weather as both their games were unable to finish due to rain.

At the top of the table Herbrandston are looking strong and are in close pursuit of leaders Burton, they secured a decisive victory over Carew II by 107 runs. Batting first, Herbrandston posted a formidable 201 for 7 in their 45 overs. Key contributions came from Harry Nicholas (81), Jack Nicholas (30), and Charlie Malloy (27), with Atticus Kingston chipping in 20 runs. For Carew II, Stefan Jenkins took 3-53, while Mark White  Sam Harts returned figures of 2-49 and 1-28 respectively.

In reply, Carew II struggled against Herbrandston’s bowlers, as they bowled out for just 94. Adam Chandler (19), Kerry Waters (10), and Sam Harts (12) were the only batsmen to reach double figures. Herbrandston’s Atticus Kingston starred with the ball, taking 4-21, well supported by Paul Nicholas (2-11) and Charlie Malloy (3-7). Gary Davies umpired at both ends for the entire match so credit to him for that, Herbie continue to look strong and will be full of confidence when they host Lamphey next weekend.

Meanwhile Chris Fitzpatrick's Johnston chased down Lamphey’s total of 171 with six wickets in hand. Lamphey were all out for 171, with notable innings from David Blackwell (76), David Dredge (34), and Nick Shelmerdine (16). Johnston’s skipper Fitzy was the standout bowler, taking 5-21, well supported by all rounders Lee Summons (2-31) and Liam James (2-36).

In response, Johnston reached 172 for 4 in 19 overs. The outstanding Lee Summons led the charge with 96 falling just short of a well deserved century, once again he was wellsupported by Lewis Boswell (49) and youngster George Twigg, who was 12 unbeaten. For Lamphey, Grant Cole took 2-34 and David Dredge 1-49 in what proved to be a losing cause.

The match between Llanrhian and Llechryd was abandoned due to rain. Before the interruption, Llanrhian managed 112 for 6 in their innings. Jack Jones (35), Joe Crellin (18), and Tom Clarke (35) were the top scorers. James Henneker claimed 3-18, while Graham Keen took 2-30 for Llechryd before rain prevented the game from finishing.

Table toppers Burton chased down Pembroke’s total of 179, winning by 5 wickets. Pembroke scored 179 all out, with Jack Harries top-scoring with 85, supported by Will Davies (20), Luke Butler (26), Ceri Brace (12), and Phil Jones (11). Burton’s Jack Bevan took 3-36, while Morgan Scale, Dan Llewellyn, and Jack Davies picked up a wicket each.

Burton’s reply was led by Joseph Kiff (79) and Jon Venables (55) who did the bulk of the scoring before Morgan Scale saw his team over the line with an unbeaten 17. A win that puts Burton eight points clear of second placed Herbrandston at the top of the division.

The other game that was unable to be completed due to rain was between Pembroke Dock and Hook. The Dock had reached 23 for 1 before the interruption. Jake Davies was not out on 12, and Callum James had taken 1-11 for Hook.
