After a terrible start to their season being hammered twice and failing to score 100 in either game Llangwm bounced back with a good win over Whitland. Whitland had also lost their first two games and won't want to go win less much longer. Despite Llangwm's very poor start to the season any team with Steve Inward and Steve Mills Jr on their team sheet is capable of beating anyone on their day as Saturday proved.
Inward hit a typically classy 95 while Mills showed his class in adding an unbeaten 70. Noah Davies also contributed with a useful 32 as Llangwm ended on 224. Not a total that was out of Whitland's reach however they knew they had to be at their best to win this one. Jonathan Thomas 73 and Gethin Scourfield 31 took the game to the hosts as they made a great effort in their chase, however they were bowled all out for 216 losing by just 8 runs. Toby Asson 4-30 impressed with the ball and Llangwm will hope this is a springboard for their season, while Whitland look to have a relegation battle ahead of them this season.
