Carew 50/1 beat Haverfordwest 49 all out
Haverfordwest impressed last week in their return to the first division however this weekend was a different story. Carew won the toss and elected to field and it proved to be the right call as Iori Hicks ripped through Town's batting line up taking 4-16, Ben Field, Adam James and Mikey Jones all fell to the youngster and it was backs against the wall for Haverfordwest.
Joel Read was in a good vain of form from the other end himself taking 3-23, before Shaun Whitfield finished the innings off with another two wickets. Jake Merry was the only batsman to get into double figures for town ending on 22* as his team were dismissed for just 49 runs.
Carew made light work of their reply and only lost one wicket in the process Rhys Davies made 18 before he was dismissed and Tim Hicks was 12. An excellent win for the Rooks while a tough day at the office for Haverfordwest and a reminder of how tough this first division can be.
