Goodwick United kept their place at the top of the Pembrokeshire Division One table, with a 3-0 away win over Merlins Bridge on Saturday 16th November 2024.
The Phoenix Boys have had a fantastic start to their title defence and went in to the game with 10 wins and a draw from 11 games, four points ahead of their closest rivals Hakin United.
However, there would have been no complacency against a Bridge side in improved form, winning five out of their last six games in all competitions.
The visitors took the lead in the 33rd minute through a likely source, with midfield talisman Rhys Jones giving them the lead.
The 65th minute saw a familiar face enter the pitch, with Alex Thomas coming on, making his first appearance for the Goodwick having played for the Wizards in the previous season where he scored eight goals in 13 league appearances.
Goodwick doubled their lead in the 73rd minute with an own goal for Nick Squire, before Rhys Jones grabbed another goal in the 90th minute to round off the victory for his side.
