All eyes were on the Obs as Pembrokeshire's two football giants battled it out in an early season title clash, with Hakin United and Goodwick United sharing a 1-1 draw.
Hakin took the lead in the 40th minute when Alfie Stottor nicked the ball near the byline before squaring it across for Shane Walsh to poke home at the near post - despite the appeals of the Goodwick players who were calling for a foul.
Goodwick soon hit back through Rhys Dalling who equalised with a looping heading that went over the 'keeper into the far post from a James Bryan cross in front of the "slab".
Leon Luby proved a constant threat all evening down the right hand side, with Steven Dockerty working hard to deal with his threat. Dockerty eventually saw yellow in the second half after an accumulation of fouls on the tricky winger.
In the net for the Vikings, Adrian Devonald showed assurance between the sticks, holding everything he faced including a couple of set-piece efforts form the always dangerous Rhys Jones.
Young substitute Mason Dolling had a chance to nick a winner at the end for his team after Justin "Skinny" Harding's shot was blocked before falling to the feet of the youngster whose shot was smothered by Nick Jones at the near post.
A tight affair between two quality teams that we have become accustomed to in Pembrokeshire with the early season already showing that we are set to be in for another thrilling season and battle for the title at the top.
