Hakin United kept their place at the top of the table with a 4-1 victory over Kilgetty in Pembrokeshire Division One.
The Vikings have enjoyed a number of lightning starts in their strong start to their 2024-25 campaign, but found themselves a goal down within four minutes, with Lloyd Hughes scoring for the hosts thanks to an assist for goalkeeper James North.
It didn't take long for the visitors to respond with Justin "Skinny" Harding continuing his fine goalscoring form to grab an equaliser, with an assist for Mark Jones who crossed the ball in after some good work down the left.
Hakin took the lead in the 30th minute when, arguably their player of the season so far - Alfie Stottor, scored after firing into the top left corner following a pass from Shane Walsh.
In a physical competitive game, Kilgetty managed to keep out the visitors until the 78th minute when teenager Leo Power scored his first goal for the club.
Shane Walsh then bagged his 6th goal of the season with an assist for Leon Luby to wrap up the scoring and the three points.
The win sees Hakin stay top of the table on 13 points with a goal difference of +26 after only five games. However, Goodwick United remain hot on the tail, also sitting on 13 points following a dramatic late win against Tenby.
