Hakin United showed off their West Wales Cup credentials with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Llanelli-based Seaside on February 1st 2025.

The Vikings are currently undefeated since the return of manager Scott Davies, chasing domestic champions Goodwick and still in both cup competitions.

They will have been bouyed by the recent returns of Alfie Stottor and Ashley Bevan, two quality attacking players with match-winning credentials.

There would have been no complacency going into the game, against their opponents who took the leap up to the West Wales Premier League last season following their Carmarthenshire League victory.

It was Bevan who opened the scoring for the hosts in the 24th minute, heading home from Jack Britton's aerial flick-on after a dangerous free-kick was sent in from the right.

Britton, another player who has returned to frequent action under the returning Davies, doubled the lead in the 37th minute with a fantastic long range effort on his left foot.

Britton then missed the chance to add his second from the penalty spot five minutes later, being denied by a good save from the Seaside goalkeeper.

The Vikings continued their dominancein the second half, finally adding a third through forward Shane Walsh who was set up by captain Ryan Wilson in the 73rd minute.

Matters were made worse for the visitors who were reduced to ten men in the 81st minute when Corey Richards received his marching orders for a second yellow card.

Substitute Jack Griffiths rounded off the scoring for the hosts with a fourth goal, thanks to an assist from summer signing Jordan Kilby.

Elsewhere in the West Wales Cup it was a fantastic afternoon for Pembrokeshire teams all round, with a maximum five teams progressing thanks to the following results:

Goodwick United 1-0 Cwmamman United

Monkton Swifts 2-0 CKSV

Pennar Robins 3-3 Tenby* (Tenby win 16-15 on penalties)
