Milford United secured a vital victory to lift themselves out of the relegation zone, beating Clarbeston Road 2-1 in Pembrokeshire Division One.

The Robins had gone 11 games without a victory, with their poor form seeing them languish in 11th place with just 12 points going in to the game.

It has been a tough season, following an impressive campaign last season, with the departure of Liam Parks and work duties and injuries limiting the appearances of key players such as Scott Reid and Liam Parr.

Clarbeston Road, who are flying high in 3rd place once again, took the lead in the 46th minute with Laurie Haworth setting up 17-year-old Rhys Lloyd-Roberts.

The hosts responded with an equalising goal just three minutes into the second half thanks to their impressive young talent, with 18-year-old Rhys Brawn scoring thanks to an assist from 16-year-old Joey Jones.

The Robins then took the lead in the 68th minute, with Liam Davies scoring what proved to be the winner, thanks to an assist from Ieaun Rutherford.

The vital win lifts them up to 10th place, one point ahead of relegation rivals St Ishmaels.
