Clarbeston Road made it three wins in a row ahead of their Senior Cup Semi-Final, with a 3-2 victory over Tenby in Pembrokeshire Division One on Saturday 8th March 2025.

The "Farming Army" secured their place in the last four courtesy of a penalty shoot-out victory after a dramatic 3-3 game with the Seasiders in the Quarter-Finals just a couple of weeks ago.

Sitting in third place in the league, Clarbeston Road would have known a victory would keep them there for now and fend off the impending charge of Tenby and co, although the task of staying there looks challenging given that they now only have one league game left to play.

Both sides would have also been looking to use the game as momentum ahead of their cup Semi-Finals, with Tenby set to play Monkton Swifts in the prestigious West West Intermediate Cup.

The hosts got off to the perect start, with Jake Booth on the scoresheet as he was in the cup tie, giving his team the lead just three minutes in thanks to an assist from youngster Rhys Lloyd-Roberts.

Tenby would hit back late on in the half, with Scott Ferney - hot off the back of his man of the match performance in Tenby's West Wales Cup quarter-final victory over Merlins Bridge - finding an equaliser after being set up by Jerome Williams.

Ferney then put his side in front just a minute in to the second half.

The lead was not to last long however, with Rhys Lloyd-Roberts getting on the scoresheet himself, thanks to an assist from Laurie Haworth in the 52nd minute.

With the game all level, there was to be an 80th minute from Haworth, continuing his good form in front of goal after being set up by Captain Josh Wood.

Clarbeston Road will next face Milford United at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium on Friday 14th March in the Senior Cup Semi-Final, as they look to defend their trophy.

Tenby face Monkton Swifts in the West Wales Intermediate Cup Semi-Finals, with the date and venue set to be confirmed.
