Goodwick United secured their third consecutive Division One title with a 2-0 victory over Pennar Robins thanks to goals from Matty Delaney and Rhys Jones.
The Phoenix Boys knew a victory would be enough to secure the title, but there would have been no complacency going into the game with the likes of Sean Pemberton, James Bryan and Rhys Dalling missing from the starting XI.
Pennar Robins have enjoyed a solid season and look set for a top half finish, with two decent cup runs this campaign too. However, they went into the game without former Goodwick man Dan James, a usual live wire in attack.
After a goalless first half, the deadlock was finally broken a few minutes into the second period, with Matty Delaney scoring the decisive goal after a cross back in from Will Haworth after a corner was initially cleared.
With the rain coming down, clear cut chances were few and far between, with Nathan Greene seeing his effort saved by Pennar 'keeper Rory Williams after being played through by Rhys Jones.
Jones then stepped up to make sure of the victory, once again showing off his set-piece capabilities with another free-kick goal, this time driven low into the bottom corner.
The win moves Goodwick up to 58 points, with 19 victories and one draw in their 20 games, confirming their league success for a third successive season.
Next up, they face a trip to Kilgetty on the 5th April before a home tie (date to be confirmed) against Tenby, where they will be presented with the title trophy in front of their home fans - with talk of a potential football "double bill" - with their 2nds team crunch title clash against New Hedges Saundersfoot United - potentially being scheduled on the same day in what would be a fantastic celebration of Pembrokeshire football.
