Fishguard Sports sealed their promotion back to Division One with a thrilling 5-4 away victory over Johnston in Pembrokeshire Division Two on Saturday 8th March, 2025.

The visitors took an early lead with Greg Hughes putting Fishguard in front just five minutes in thanks to an assist from Luke Thomas.

The Tigers hit back through Callum Rees, who hit a quick fire hat-trick with goals in minutes nine, 16 and 18, being set up by Captain Joey George and Josh Knapp, before converting from the spot.

After a blistering period of play from Johnston, Fishguard hit back with two quickfire goals of their own just before half-time with Anthony Couzens and Luke Thomas scoring thanks to assists from Jack Griffiths and Ieaun Llewellyn respectively to bring the scores level at 3-3 at the break.

The hosts restored their lead through Josh Knapp, with Joey George registering another assist for his side.

The lead was only to last for three minutes, with Matthew Lewis grabbing an equaliser thanks to another assist from Ieaun Llewellyn.

Llewellyn would then get on the scoresheet himself in the 65th minute, firing home a spot-kick to seal the win for his side.
