Merlins Bridge made it back-to-back league victories with a 4-1 win over Milford United, who remain languished in the Division One relegation zone.

The Robins are running out of time to stay up and would have gone ino this fixture hoping to get something as they fight to stay up, now with only one game remaining.

Bridge have had a mixed season, but did face victory last time out on the road against Kilgetty. They could mathematically finish in the top half, although a 7th placed finish seems more likely and would give them something to build on going forward.

It took a little while for the Wizards to break the deadlock, with experienced forward Jason Griffiths giving his side the lead with a fantastic strike in the 44th minute.

Just four minutes later and the lead was doubled through captain Jordan Thomas, whose header was deflected goalbound after a cross from Hayden Dimond.

The visitors pulled a goal back through the reliable Scott Reid in the 63rd minute, with Joey Jones registering an assist.

However, a comeback was not to be, with Nathan Evans restoring the hosts two goal cushion in the 73rd minute with a smart finish slotting past the 'keeper after the ball was back to him by subsitute Ben Davies.

Davies then got in on the action himself, rounding off the victory with a goal after a brilliant timed run from Hayden Dimond saw him beat the offside trap before unselfishly setting up his team mate. A fantastic moment for a player plagued by injuries and only recently returning to the team.

In further bad news for Milford United, St Ishmaels found a last minute equaliser against Kilgetty to move up to 19 points, all but securing their survival with a superior goal difference of 30 goals compared to the Robins.

Milford United host Kilgetty in their final game of the season (date to be confirmed) but must now rely on Carew, who barring a 34 goal swing, only need one point from two games to stay up.
