Pembrokeshire side Neyland bowed out of the West Wales Cup with a 0-2 defeat in their long awaited encounter with West Wales Premier League side Dafen Welfare on Saturday 22nd March 2025.

Although the competition's Semi-Final ties have been drawn, Hakin United's Quarter-Finals opponents had to wait to be determined following a lengthy delay over eligibility rules and appeals from an earlier tie.

With nothing left to play for in their domestic league, Neyland would have welcome the opportunity to give it their all in what was always going to be a tough cup tie against Premier League opposition.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 39th minute with Elliott Jones scoring from the spot.

The lead was finally doubled in the 70th minute, with Captain Jordan Williams scoring after being set up by Jones.

Dafen Welfare will now face Hakin United in the competition's last Quarter-Final, with the winner facing West Wales Premier League side St Josephs in the Semi-Finals.

In the other Semi-Final there is an all-Pembrokeshire affair with Tenby facing Monkton Swifts.
