Two talented young Pembrokeshire authors will be selling and signing copies of their debut novels at the Haverhub Book Fair in Haverfordwest this Saturday, March 29th between 10am and 2pm.
Siblings Stan and Edie Gerson, both aged 10, have achieved the remarkable feat of publishing their first books, which will be available for purchase at the event. Illustrator Matt Harrison, who brought the characters to life, will also be in attendance to sign books and offer special edition bookmarks to existing owners.
Edie's novel, "Criminal Cat Crew," follows Whiskers, a proud tabby cat whose comfortable life with her owner Jeff is disrupted when newcomer Evie arrives. Abandoned and alone, Whiskers forms a crew of streetwise cats who embark on a life of crime. The adventure explores friendship, daring escapades, and clever exploits as the cats rise through the criminal underworld—but their past may come back to haunt them.
Stan's book, "Heracles and Nathan," offers a fresh and humorous take on Greek mythology. Narrated by Nathan, best friend of the legendary hero Heracles, the story reveals the untold tales behind the famous twelve labours. With warmth and mischief, readers discover how these unlikely friends conquered ancient Greece together, showing that even the greatest heroes need good friends by their side.
Both books are already available through Candy Jar Books, at Victoria Bookshop locally, and the young authors are eager to meet readers at the fair.
