Herbrandston (238-6) beat Cresselly (222ao) by 16 runs in a hard-fought contest. Herbrandston won the toss and batted first, Nathan Banner (80) the standout performer. Robert Hood (59) and Kristan Bennett (26) provided important totals as well, both ultimately succumbing to effective bowling by Tom Murphy (3-46) - the pick of the Cresselly bowling. In the second half, the likes of Griff Jenkins (64), Lewis Mason (38) and Phil Williams (22) gave Cresselly a fair shake at chasing the total, but the bowling unit of Dean John (3-51), Morgan Britton (2-41), Nathan Banner (2-32) and Harry Nicholas (2-41) shared the wickets to bowl them out 16 runs short.
St Ishmaels (167-7) beat Lawrenny (166ao) by 3 wickets. St Ishmaels won the toss and elected to field, opener Brennan Devonald (4-40) the centrepiece of an effective attack. Of the 8 batsmen who scored more than 10 in the first innings, skipper Troy Purslowe top scored with 28, trailed by Charlie Arthur (17), Rhys Daley (20), Noah Williams (17no) and Tom Cole (17). Andrew Pawlett (2-26) and Steven Williams (2-40) combined to round out the bowling attack at the tail end of the innings. Brennan Devonald (54) also top scored with the bat, joining his efforts with Phil Cockburn (35) and Karl Rhead (24) to see the total over the line with 3 men to spare. In spite of the result going the other way, Ryan Morton (4-26) put up very strong figures for his side.
Carew (311-3) pasted Narberth (112ao) into the dirt, beating them by just shy of 200 runs. Carew won the toss and batted first, Morgan Grieve (133no) and Tim Hicks (119no) putting up two outstanding unbeaten centuries. Loui Davies (2-45) and Richard Howell (1-32) took Narberth’s three wickets, their sides inability to dismiss either centurion leading to a chase of over 300 runs. In reply, Narberth failed to even collectively surpass Tim Hick’s total; Jordan Howell (39no) and Jamie McCormack (18) the only batsmen to make an impression. Jacob Knox (3-5) and Iori Hicks (3-28) proved most effective against Narberth with the ball, doing exactly what they needed to do to ensure Narberth never got going.
Neyland (181-6) beat Burton (180-8) by 4 wickets. Burton won the toss and batted first, Martin James (80) the leading man, Toby Hayman (24) and Morgan Scale (23) providing supporting runs. Corey Riley (4-33) and Andrew Miller (2-28) were the pick of the Neyland bowling, keeping Burton short of the 200 mark. Dai Davies (56) and Dylan James (41) led the chase, tidy bowling from Nic Jones (3-53) and Jon Scale (2-27) ultimately unable to keep Neyland from passing the total with 5 overs to spare.
Saundersfoot (249-4) beat Whitland (183ao) by 66 runs to extend their lead at the top. Saundersfoot won the toss and batted first, Jon Mansbridge (106no) continuing to rack up the centuries this season. Simon Stanford (44) and Nick Cope (41) put up important totals of their own, Geraint Jones (2-38), Iwan Bevan (1-30) and Wayne Howells (1-25) the only bowlers to find success. After teas, Geraint Jones (65) gave his team a fighting chance with a quick 50, Tristan Rees (31) and Ieuan Bevan (23no) following up. In the end, Whitland couldn't hold out against the bowling from Sam Franklin (4-44), Matthew Phillips (2-40) and Tom Mansbridge (2-16), the league leaders convincingly doing the business once again.
