Goodwick United booked their place in the Semi-Finals of the Pembrokeshire Senior Cup with a convincing 5-0 victory over fellow Division One side Clarbeston Road on Saturday 14th March.

The Phoenix Boys opened the scoring in the 14th midfielder, Rhys Jones providing for fellow midfielder Jake Smith to find the net.

The lead was doubled in the 37th minute through Ben Adams - back in his more defensive role after a recent outing to his natural position as a forward - but continuing his rich vein of form in front of the net, making it three goals in four games.

The second half saw a quickfire double to put the game out of sight, returning goalkeeper Nick Jones registering an assist after his long ball found the experienced Jonny Horgan. 

Just a minute later and midfield maestro Rhys Jones would inevitably get in on the action, Adams this time the provider for the host's goalscoring machine - his seventh in four games.

The scoring was completed in the 73rd minute with forwards Will Haworth and Guto Roberts combining, Roberts adding to his tally in the competition having also picked up a goal in the previous round against Merlins Bridge.

In the round's other fixtures, Monkton Swifts came through a seven goal thriller to defeat Tenby 4-3 thanks to a hat-trick from Dylan Davies, Neyland edged out fellow Division Two rivals Milford United 3-2 in another cracking contest and high flying St Ishmaels saw off Division Two opposition, defeating New Hedges Saundersfoot United 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick from recently returned striker Aaron Hallam.

Goodwick will now face St Ishmaels in the Semi-Final in what promises to be a mouthwatering contest following two dramatic draws shared between the teams in the league with both fixtures seeing late Goowick goals deny the Mice of four extra points.
