The week's highest-scoring game saw Saundersfoot (265-8) beat Whitland (179ao) by 86 runs. After winning the toss and deciding to field, Whitland found themselves at the mercy of the Mansbridge family who got their side off to a fantastic start. Tom Mansbridge (56) opened with a steady half century, one-upped only by John Mansbridge (120) who produced a stunning century to power Saundersfoot's commanding total. Had the rest of their team only turned up at teas, their side would still only have lost by 3 runs. Ollie Cook joined the pair with an ensuring 28. Pick of the bowlers for Whitland was Cian Rees (3-39) who eventually managed to stop John Mansbridge from causing further damage. Whitland's reply was competitive without ever truly threatening, Shay Thomas (42) and Ethan Ryan (28) contributed laudable totals with the bat, recovering well from what was at one point a 19-5 score. Tudor Hurle (3-15), Nicky Cope (3-19) and Sam Joseph (3-16) were Saundersfoot's key bowlers as they dismissed Whitland within 10 overs of the drinks break.
Travelling Carew (163ao) overcame Narberth (119ao) by 44 runs to maintain their place at the top of Division One. Carew lost the toss and batted first, building a solid total on the back of Ethan Hall (60) and Brian Hall (52), with Shaun Whitfield (26) also contributing usefully. Ben Quartermaine (4-29) endangered Carew with his bowling, the other wickets being shared equally between Llew Jones (2-25), Ben Hughes (2-28) and Ryan Williams (2-46). Narberth's reply never quite got going, despite Llew Jones (34) and Lewis Hough (26) offering some resistance, Carew's bowlers proved decisive – Rhys Davies (4-18) and Noah Davies (3-14) were particularly potent, with James Hinchcliffe (2-17) supporting the two.
Lawrenny’s (144ao) Division 1 woes continue as they were bested in a close fought contest by promoted side St Ishmaels (148-9). Away team St Ishmaels elected to field after winning the toss, setting themselves up to chase their so far winless opposition. St Ishmaels managed to keep Lawrenny below 150 by effectively pressuring the batsmen early into the innings. Opening Batsmen Oscar Lewis (19) and Rhys Eynon (0) both found themselves caught behind by wicketkeeper Huw Scriven. Troy Purslowe (38) managed to steady the ship, scoring the only total above 20 for Lawrenny with the lower order sharing the rest of the runs between them. The Pawlett family were the ones to watch in terms of bowling for St Ishmaels, with Andrew Pawlett (4-25) and Jonathan Pawlett (3-19) contributing most of the damage. After the break, Lawrenny started off strong by dismissing openers Peter Bradshaw (0) and Lewis Rhead (0) for 0 runs from a combined 38 balls. Following this the match heated up, Oscar Lewis (4-35) and Troy Purslowe (4-15) sieged the opposition middle order who were not keen to go down without a fight. Karl Rhead (21), Jonathan Pawlett (21) and Brennan Devonald (21) all put up critical runs, eventually leaving it up to number 11 Huw Scriven (18no) who managed to emphatically win the game with a 6 in the 41st over.
Cresselly (205ao) slapped Herbrandston (60ao) in a 145-run defeat in the southwest of the county. Batting first, away side Cresselly posted their total courtesy of Kyle Quartermaine (35), Alex Bayley (27), Dan James (24no), Tom Murphy (20) and Lewis Mason (20). Herbrandston's bowlers fought gamely, Charlie Malloy (3-53), Nathan Banner (2-27) and Dean John (2-27) all took wickets, leaving Cresselly with a large but gettable double century total at the break. That was not to be however, Charlie Arthur took a superb 6-19, joined by the impressive economics of Thomas Arthur (2-9) and Tom Murphy (2-2); Herbrandston failed to find their footing against their assault. The home teams best batting performance came from Kristian Bennett (16) who gathered the only double-digit total for his side.
Neyland (152-7) claimed a 3-wicket win over Burton (151ao) at the Neyland Athletic Ground. Burton were put in to bat after losing the toss, posting a competitive 151. Jack Davies (54) was the standout batsmen for in the first innings, supported by Jon Venables (21) and Dan Llewellyn (14). Neyland bowler Alan Webster (4-20), alongside Tom Pritchard (3-16) prevented Burton from steering the game in their favour, dismissing the away side in the 42nd over. Neyland's chase looked straightforward early on, Paul Murray (32) opened well, but wickets in the middle order tumbled as the innings progressed, leaving it up to the likes of Ross Hardy (29) and Alan Webster (30no) to push their team to victory. Opener Nick Jones (2-26) chipped in with the ball for Burton, joined by Luke Hayman (3-45). Neyland crossed the line at 152-7 with just under 10 overs to spare.
