In Division One, Carew continued their winning streak as they remain toe to toe with Cresselly at the top of the table. They faced Burton at Oatfield Park. The visitors decided to bowl first, with Burton setting a score of 160 for 9 wickets after their 45 overs. Martin James (53) and Jack Davies (50) both impressed with the bat. However, the strong Carew bowling attack consisting of James Hinchcliffe (4-26), Noah Davies (2-24) and Shaun Whitfield (2-43) ensured that the score remained within a reachable target for their batsmen to secure the win. Tim Hicks once again impressed with the bat, his 43 assisting his side to reach 164-7.
Burton did their best to prevent Carew, with Jack Davies (2-37), Luke Hayman (2-38) and Gavin Campbell (2-44) all bowling well. However, it wasn’t enough to prevent Carew from winning, as they secured the 18 point victory.

Carew’s rivals at the top of the table, Cresselly, also secured a vital win. They faced struggling Llangwm at home. With Llangwm winning the toss and electing to bat, Cresselly’s bowlers were called into action early. Tom Arthur (4-36), Christian Phillips (3-7) and Charlie Arthur (2-23) ensured Llangwm only scored 88, despite Iwan Griffiths’ 41. They passed the target with ease for the loss of only one wicket, with Phil Williams (36no) and Charlie Arthur (29no) ensuring their side got maximum points from the fixture.

Lawrenny also picked up a comfortable victory as they travelled to face Haverfordwest. The visitors won the toss and elected to put faith in their bowlers on a damp Haverfordwest pitch. Their decision paid off as Ryan Morton (4-17) and Rob Williams (4-27) aided their side in restricting Haverfordwest to 54 before they were bowled out. Troy Purslowe’s 29 not out helped Lawrenny pass the target for the loss of just one wicket as they secured the nine wicket victory and added 16 points to their tally for the season.

Saundersfoot also continued their impressive start to the season, batting first as they travelled to face Neyland. Both Tom and John Mansbridge impressed, scoring 77 and 60 respectively. Sam Laugharne (2-16) and Sean Hannon (2-27) were the pick of the Neyland bowlers, however their impressive spells were unable to prevent Saundersfoot reaching an impressive 214-6. Alan Webster top scorer for the home side with 25, however Nic Cope (3-21), Tom Mansbridge (2-16) and Sam Franklin (2-30) ensured they were bowled out for 104. Saundersfoot won by 110 runs and added maximum points to their total for the season.

Last but not least, Herbrandston hosted Whitland as they looked to build on last weeks win against Burton. Winning the toss and electing to field, Herbrandston’s bowling attack of Dean John and Harry Nicholas both impressed as they shared the figures of 2-25. Glopal Ramasamy and Jonathan Thomas both did well with the bat, as they scored 63 and 36 respectively as the visitors reached 189 for the loss of eight wickets as they reached the tea break. However, Herbrandston had no trouble reaching the target set by the visitors, with Nathan Banner (68no) and Charlie Malloy (52) helping to ensure that the home side would secure the 18 point victory, winning by eight wickets.
